Mandatory handover checklist

Submit full handover document — A comprehensive written document covering all ongoing projects, task status, pending deliverables, and key contacts must be prepared and submitted to your reporting manager.

Transfer all credentials — All work-related login IDs, passwords, access tokens, API keys, and system credentials must be handed over securely to your manager or the IT team. No exceptions.

Hand over all project files & documents — Every file, design asset, codebase, database, spreadsheet, or document created during your employment must be transferred to the designated Obsidian Six repository. Nothing is to be retained personally.

Briefing session — Conduct a live briefing (minimum 1 session) with the team member or manager taking over your responsibilities. Ensure complete knowledge transfer.

Return all company property — Devices, access cards, SIM cards, hardware, and any other Obsidian Six-issued equipment must be returned before your last working day.

Send the official exit email — A formal email confirming completion of all handover items must be sent to hr@obsidiansix.com with your manager in copy, at least 3 days before your last working day.

Data, IP & confidentiality rules

No personal use of company data — Any data, client information, project details, codebase, or internal documents created during your employment is the sole intellectual property of Obsidian Six. You may not use, copy, or store this for any personal purpose.
No use in personal portfolio without written permission — Work completed under Obsidian Six cannot be showcased in personal portfolios, social media, freelance profiles, or any external platform without prior written approval from management. Submit a written request to hr@obsidiansix.com before your last day if approval is needed.
No sharing with third parties — Client data, internal strategies, pricing, employee information, or any confidential business information must not be shared with any external person, company, or platform — during or after employment.
No retention of credentials — You are strictly prohibited from retaining, storing, or using any Obsidian Six system credentials, IDs, or passwords after your last working day.
No access to company systems after exit — Any unauthorised access to Obsidian Six systems, accounts, tools, or platforms after your exit date will be treated as a serious breach and reported to appropriate legal authorities.

Salary, dues & final settlement

Full salary and dues will be processed only after the complete handover is verified and approved by your manager and HR.
Experience letters, relieving letters, and all reference documentation will be issued only upon successful completion of all exit obligations listed on this page.
Incomplete handover will result in a hold on final settlement until all pending items are fully resolved. This is contractually binding and cannot be waived.

Consequences of non-compliance

Important: Leaving Obsidian Six without completing the mandatory handover process is a breach of your employment contract. Obsidian Six reserves the right to take the following actions against any employee who fails to comply. If handover is not completed within one week of your exit date, you will not be eligible for final salary release, relieving letters, or any other company-issued documents, and legal action may be initiated.

How to request portfolio permission

Send a written request to hr@obsidiansix.com specifying exactly which project(s) or work you wish to reference, and the platform or context it will be used in.

HR will review with management and respond within 5 working days with a written approval or rejection.

No work may be shared externally until written approval is received. Verbal approvals are not valid and will not be honoured.
